Tuesday 13th March 2018

St George's, Bristol

Our Going Beyond series of talks returns with two pioneering, record breaking, female adventurers.

CAS 0414 600x400

Ann Daniels is a world record holder and described by The Daily Telegraph as one of the top 20 Great British Adventurers of all times.  As the first woman to reach the North and South Poles as part of all woman teams and the only leader of all 3 Catlin Arctic surveys she is living proof that good leadership, teamwork and a positive mental attitude does make a difference to the success of a team.  She believes that challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is the key to success.

Beth French 600x400

Finding refuge in open water endurance swimmer Beth French was the first person to swim 26 miles from Cornwall to the Isles of Scilly.  Beth’s journey through debilitating ill health has defined her life and compelled her to pursue her dreams.  Her philosophy is that life is all about exploring the art of possibility to fulfil your potential.  Passionate about our inherent ability to go beyond our preconceived boundaries her story is something that everyone can relate to.

Join us on Tuesday 13th March 2018 to hear about both adventurers accomplishments and personal challenge. Their resolve to go beyond preconceived boundaries and to challenge their limits will inspire all.

The evening will include a free prize draw, your change to win some top of the range kit to prepare for your own adventure, and will close with an opportunity to put your questions directly to Ann and Beth.

All proceeds from the evening will go towards the Youth Adventure Trust’s outdoor adventure programme for vulnerable young people. Our volunteers will also be on hand to answer any questions you might have if you’re keen to get involved with the Trust.

Tickets are available from St Georges, Bristol, and cost £12 (plus a £1 administration fee per transaction, £1 card transaction fee and 70p postage), or buy directly from us by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

We hope to see you there!
