In May we headed up to the stunning scenery of the Lake District for our annual Taylor Wimpey Challenge. Teams from across the country had the option of taking on an Ultra 60km bike tour of the lakes, a 20km hike or a 40km hike, with all teams then completing a lake course on a self built raft. It was a tough challenge and a real test of resilience, but all teams did incredibly well!
A huge well done and thank you to everybody who took on the challenge and fundraised for us through various fundraising activities including raffles, football matches, cake sales and more. A special shout out to Experience Days who provided the Taylor Wimpey Head Office an experience gift certificate in their fundraising raffle. We hope the lucky winner enjoys their experience day!
Thank you again to Taylor Wimpey, their employees and all of their supporters who, through their fundraising, have raised over £130,000 for the Youth Adventure Trust. All of those funds will be used to provide lifechanging opportunities for the vulnerable young people we work with to build their confidence, resilience and aspirations for a positive future.
If you’re interested in signing up to one of our other challenge events or would like to take on your own challenge, check out our ‘Take On A Challenge’ page or contact Philippa or Charlotte.
