Challenge Overview
This challenge is an exciting blend of physical activity, mental puzzles, and creative tasks designed to test strategy, teamwork, and endurance. Here’s a breakdown of what it’s all about:
Key Features:
- Team Strategy:
- Teams must strategize to decide how they will earn the most points.
- Choose whether to focus on hiking or on-site challenges—or strike a balance.
- Adventure and Exploration:
- The event kicks off with a mandatory 10km hike through the Yorkshire Dales, a stunning location for outdoor enthusiasts.
- Afterward, teams can decide to continue exploring checkpoints on the route” or return to base for other challenges.
- Brain-Teasing and Creative Challenges:
- Back at the centre, teams will face brain-teasing puzzles and on-site activities to earn points.
- These tasks allow members to showcase problem-solving skills and creativity.
- Points and Resources:
- Points are earned through both hiking checkpoints and on-site challenges.
- Points are later exchanged for materials at the challenge shop, used for the grand finale.
- The Final Showstopper Challenge:
- In the closing event, teams will work together to build and test a creative structure using the materials they’ve earned.
- This is where teamwork and resourcefulness come into play.

Notes on completing this form:
It is essential that you answer all questions as fully as possible, signing and dating the declaration at the end. The information will be kept confidential to event staff and any medical officer(s) attending the event. When answering questions please bear in mind that we are particularly interested in any history of the following conditions: asthma; bronchitis; heart conditions; high blood pressure; kidney or bladder disease; fits; HIV; faints; blackouts; severe headaches migraines; diabetes, joint, back or muscle problems; any allergies including food sensitivities; mental health problems, including phobias; visual or hearing problems; heart related illnesses. If you fail to disclose any relevant information, your safety may be jeopardised. In addition, any insurance you have may be invalid. -

Fundraising Leaderboard
There is a team fundraising target of £2,000. At least 50% of this amount must be donated to the Youth Adventure Trust.
Our Fundraising Leaderboard will be updated each week in the lead up to the event. The team who raises the most will receive a prize at the celebration dinner following the event, so do make every effort to smash your fundraising target and get into pole position!
